Regional Clinical Coordinator, RN - Central

Responsibilities:

The Regional Clinical Coordinator (RCC) assists in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the following departments in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility. Specific areas include: Nursing, Activities, Social Services, Dietary Services, and Facility Environment.

Some responsibilities of the Regional Clinical Coordinator include:

  • Conducts facility support visits to ensure ongoing progress of clinical operations goals and improvement plans. Communicates to the Director of Clinical Services (DCS) if a monthly visit cannot be conducted so necessary coverage can be arranged.
  • Interpret the department s policies and procedures to employees, residents, visitors, government agencies, etc.
  • Make written oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator, Director of Clinical Services (DCS), and Regional Director of Operations (RDO) as necessary/required concerning the operation of the Nursing Department, and other departments at the facility.
  • Review data submitted each month from all facility Directors of Nursing for facilities assigned (such as DON Reports, Incident and Accident Data) to assist the facility and Ciena Healthcare Management to identify trending regarding concerns with resident care. Also, reviews at least monthly PointRight and Upstairs Solutions reports for trends. Report all concerns to the Director of Clinical Services and Regional Director of Operations as necessary.
  • Assist in participating in the mock survey process for assigned and unassigned facilities within Ciena Healthcare Management.
  • Review facility plan of corrections for all deficiencies noted during mock survey inspections to assist the facility to develop appropriate plans of corrections to meet the needs of all residents in the facility.
  • Schedule visits announced and unannounced visits to the facility.
  • Assumes the key leadership role in mentorship and education to the Director of Nursing and other facility staff to ensure competency for position responsibilities, professional development and retention. Keeps the Director of Clinical Services informed of potential Director of Nursing turnover and status of recruitment and retention efforts for Director of Nursing openings.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • 5 year(s) experience in a supervisory capacity in a long-term care facility.
  • Experience in multi-facility management or demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize.
  • Organizational leadership and communication skills.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Current state license to practice as a registered nurse (RN). BSN preferred.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
